Who are you? Tell us a little about yourself and your story.

Born in the bush (literally) in rural northern NSW near Lismore, moved to Melbourne when I was 11 and lived there for last 25 years. I’m married to a lovely lady name Tallulah and have two beautiful kids Willow 4 and hunter 2 plus our mini sausage dog Axle. Have been full time in the fitness industry for last 12 years as a trainer whilst also concurrently taking on others rolls within the strength and conditioning space working with teams and corporates plus teaching for a Australian RTO delivering the high performance modules for the DIPLOMA of fitness Certification. I Found CrossFit in late 2011 watching the games re runs on ESPN and fell in love, joined first gym early 2012 and never looked back! I ran my own CF affiliate in Melbourne’s CBD for the last 6 years and recently closed it down to start a new life with the family on the coast. I’m a proud serving member of the Australian Army reserve.

Why did you choose to enter this space of Health, Wellness & CrossFit?

After numerous soul destroying jobs in the corporate world (mainly Financial Services) I needed a change! My own training had become the centre point of my life and thought would be a good way to combine the two worlds together. As I progressed my knowledge I became Fascinated then obsessed with human potential and the dynamics behind what drives success or failure and after 12 years I’m still as excited (if not more) to go to work then I was way back when!

Who or what inspires you and what has been the main influence to your journey?

For me inspiration comes from within, I can’t quantify exactly what it is but I’ve always had this drive to push and challenge myself and finding fitness/adventure has been the perfect way to express this as it combines both physical and physiological stresses and allows never ending challenges. If I had to choose another person/s then Mark Twight and Ben Schwartz have had a profound impact my journey thus far.
